Welcome to St. Andrew’s Episcopal Academy. As a premier preschool through grade 8 educational institution located on Florida’s Treasure Coast, we pride ourselves in providing rich curriculum to our students in a loving, nurturing environment. Our parents and students consider us a community.
Is your child prepared, inspired and empowered? Our goal is to prepare our students to reach their fullest potential, providing skills that include the ability to think critically, solve problems, delve deeply into issues through research, and work collaboratively with others. We encourage our students to present ideas through various means of communication. We ask them to use their interpersonal talents, joining with peers, faculty, and staff, to examine today’s issues while exploring the possibilities of tomorrow.
The St. Andrew’s faculty uses a research-based curriculum developed using national education standards. We are keenly aware that each student is an individual. As a result, we use differentiated instruction techniques which offer a structure for teachers to tailor their lessons to the needs of students at various levels. Our use of this curriculum allows self-directed and self-motivated students to attempt individual projects in their areas of interest. It offers flexibility for students to embark on challenging and advanced endeavors.
Enriching our students’ lives is important to us. That is why we provide them with additional activities, projects, and materials outside the regular curriculum. With these programs, we provide a deeper, richer educational experience than is available through the regular curriculum.
To further enhance the learning experience, each student at every grade level participates in creative arts, music, foreign language, physical education and Christian education. All students in grades 2 through 6 are provided with a violin, viola or cello and become a part of our strings orchestra. Middle School students have the opportunity to participate in college-preparatory activities such as Debate Club, Mock Trial, Model UN, and Personal Finance.
We take pride in our St. Andrew’s Lions, our sports teams consisting of Varsity and Junior Varsity sports such as: soccer, basketball, flag football, softball, and cheerleading. Any child who wishes to participate on a team is encouraged to do so. Intramural sports, for grades 1 to 4, are offered throughout the year in good weather.
At St. Andrew’s Academy, our faculty focuses on teaching the whole child, which goes far beyond the basics of reading, writing and arithmetic. We promote ethical behavior, encourage integrity, and advance social conscience. At the same time, we recognize and respect our students’ individuality, and we celebrate their diversity.
We invite you to join us for a tour of the campus at St. Andrew’s Academy. Come meet the teachers and staff and see our students in action. Watch us as we prepare our children for the future - our leaders of tomorrow.
Warmly,
Gary Peirce
