This year's auction was one of the most successful yet. About 120 people came out to enjoy the eight-piece big band "Letts Dance" and Capone's Hideaway catering. "Pass the Hat" sold for $860, and Bob MacVeety won the "Best of Live" or choice of $1500. He chose the money and donated all to the 2009-2010 Annual Fund. PreK-4 teacher Angela Robinson won the "Heads or Tails" raffle and the signature Tyler Florence basket.
Thank you to all who attended the event, and especially to all who volunteered to help make it possible. Special thanks go to the friends of the evening: Jaguar Land Rover of the Treasure Coast General Manager Sam Beauchamp, the Kirk family, the Thofner family, Whitney Guidebeck Legler, the Lloyd family and the Austin family. Thanks also to the local business who donated services: Signature Signs, Sentiments, Giordano's, Di Michelli's, Celebrity One Limousines, Bottoms Up Beverage, and Blue Green Resort Management.
Plans for next year's auction are already underway, so please contact Carrie Biggers at 772.461.7689 if you are interested in volunteering on the committee.
