STEM PROGRAM

 

 

At St. Andrew’s Episcopal Academy, we provide hands-on, exploratory learning to foster a passion for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. Our award winning S.T.E.M. Program is recognized as a National leader and model science education program. Through partnerships with local, state and federal agencies we have developed an interdisciplinary and applied approach to the Marine Sciences.

 
Students:

• Grow oysters to assist in local reef restoration projects

• Farm shrimp to learn the benefits of aquaculture

• Learn about submarine mechanics

• Use real-world skills while becoming stewards of the Indian River Lagoon

• Use Remotely Operated Vehicles to gather data for research

• Perform authentic research for state and local agencies

• Use Robotics to engineer both land and underwater vehicles through all phases of development
